One year & one month in a relationship may seem like nothing to an adult, but it means lifetimes to a teenager. I’ve had a three year relationship before & I thought I had it all.. I was wrong. I’m one of the few teenage girls that made the decision to leave when I wasn’t getting treated right. I wasn’t always “perfect”, but I knew what I deserved. I later fell in love with my best friend. Scary, huh? It actually turned out to not be scary at all. Our close friendship only made our relationship that much easier. There was no time wasted trying to get to know each other, or getting nervous around each other. The knowledge of one another, the trust, and the comfort with each other was already there. He’s shown me a whole other side of relationships that I had never seen before. I spend all of my free time with my bestfriend & I want to cherish these last couple of months of seeing him every day before we both head out for college in the fall. I have no idea what the outcome of our relationship will be. I only wish for the best, but some things happen that are out of my reach. As I live day to day with him, I want to show him how much I appreciate him. I want to make him fall in love with me all over again, every day, just like he does to me. This past one year & one month with him has been the most life-changing 13 months I’ve ever had in my entire 18 years of life & I’m only hoping for more..
